Shifty Witch won first place in the RPG Game Jam on itch.io. I joined the team after the jam to help them develop the 2nd map of the game by providing VFX and animations.
The character art assets were provided, and I brought them to life using Adobe Animate and exported the animation sprites for the developer to implement into the game engine. I also drew and animated the visual effects of the elemental spells.
I created the sparkle effect and character movement in Adobe Animate. Players can change the character they control on the overworld map and this animation highlights their current selection.

I created the VFX for this transformation. When the player gives an elemental orb to a shifty, their form changes to match. In this example a corrupted shifty is transforming into an earth shifty.
